Why does my Lg Volt screen stick when turned and doesn't revert?

Lg Volt, Screen sticks when turned and dosnt revert

hello I am just wondering I just recently got my lg volt from virgin mobile, and now it just doesn't feel like working properly. whenever I turn the screen to the side and then put my phone back up straight the screen doesn't turn back. also it takes forever for the keyboard to show up sometimes. and sometimes it kicks me out of things that I'm looking at like Google or a game. I'm just wondering if the whole screen turning thing is fixable or I may have to get a new phone.
