Can't GET VERIFICATION CODE as per instructions

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 GT i9100T 4.1.2. I go to Google Settings, tap the menu button but don't have Get Verification Code as an option. How else can I get an 8-digit code?

I have the same problem. I think the instructions are for an older version of 'google settings'.
