There have been 2 updates in the past week or so, yet the version number is still the 5.1 that ends in 5967. It says to update, obviously, but no new version. My father's phone has a newer version, but mine and my mother's are still stuck on this version. I've tried to clear cache/data for Play Services and Play Store which didn't resolve this. Any ideas?

I have noticed that while switching between versions, the Spam folder and All Mail I will set to Sync All and it won't show until I back out and close it and go back in. I wonder if that is causing the issue.

Won't hurt to try and that might make the difference.

I close mine out because I have work stuff there too and it is password protected. I just got in the habit to close it out to make double sure my app lock app, would lock it back.

I don't know why I never posted this, but here are two pictures that show what I mean.

And if you go to Gmail in the browser or on a computer, you get to the spam message there?

Does that number ever change to a different number? Does it disappear if you empty spam from the computer?

Yeah if I go to GMail in my browser or computer, it deletes and reflects it in the app.

Also I just saw this. This issue is about the inbox, I didn't read the entire thread, but your issue might be included here.

If not, search the main forum, this is for Gmail being used on Android. If no one else has reported the problem, you can and include your screenshots. They have Google developers that monitor and post here.

Thank you. I'll give this a look.

I posted a reply to that one thread and then posted my own. From what I'm seeing, I don't believe I'm alone with the issue I'm having. That makes me feel better.
