Samsung Protection Plus Mobile Elite Purchase Confirmation?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge that was purchased on May 23, 2015. Unfortunately, I have already cracked the screen and don't have warranty. The Samsung website says that I can purchase the Protection Plus Mobile Elite plan within 30 days of the purchase of the phone. Since the phone is already broken, can I still purchase the warranty? Will there have to be confirmation that the phone is in good condition if I purchase the plan online?

Welcome to Android Central! On the FAQ page, it explicitly says that "damage that occurred before your coverage start date is excluded," so I think they're going to require proof that the phone is intact. Samsung Protection Plus Mobile Elite
