Can i turn off camera sound on Android 5 (lollipop)?

I don't want to have to turn my phone volume down or set on vibrate every time i want to take a photo. I don't see settings in the sound options or the camera options for my nexus 5 (android 5.1.1). Am i missing something? I don't like announcing that i'm taking a photo (maybe at work or in a public setting).

If you're rooted you could dig around in system files and delete them.

Yah, like Shel692 said, you can either root and rename the camera sound file, or you may download another app that allows you to take photo without making noise

Motorola's camera has an option to shut off shutter sound.
