Why is my battery life draining? And why does it take so long to charge.

I've just bought an galaxy s6 on contract with o2. I was wondering the phone actually came along with the fast charger in the box because it takes around 5 hours to charge fully.. and it seems to drain pretty quickly even though I have cleared the RAM and all my apps..

5 hours to charge and fast draining aren't normal. If the phone is new, take it in to your carrier and have them check it out. Might just be a bad battery... or course, could be the phone too.

And also take a look at your charger if it just says 2.0 milliamp you got the old charger it should say up to 6.0 milliamp

In addition to the other answers, due to the way Android works, "clearing RAM" actually costs more battery. An app just sitting in RAM is no different than random data sitting in RAM. But if you "clear" an app that Android wants in RAM, it's going to load it again, and that costs battery. That's why you should never use an app by a company that makes a "RAM cleaner" app - they don't understand how Android works.
