tablet starts slow,then picks up

Hi guys I have an RCA Viking 10 Pro with 1 gig of ram quad-core 1.4. I was wondering why when I start using it after its being just laying there without me touching it for a while it will run slow at first but then it will pick up. It reminds me of Windows like if everything was loading at first but this is a tablet and I've never experienced this before. I figured being a quad-core 1.4 it would be quick all the time, but it is very weird that it starts slow. Please help
