My storage space is running out and I delete stuff but it doesn't free up any space

My pictures won't back up ,I can't download anything and I don't know what else I can delete to regain storage space.

I run into this problem often since I only have 16 GB of storage

• Delete any apps you don't use anymore or the ones you can live without.
• Delete files in your downloads.
  
• Go into your settings > storage. There should be a section called cache, if you haven't touched it in a while it can fill up to a couple gigabytes on your phone. You can remove it because it usually holds temporary data that helps performance of some of your apps

Try restarting your device, sometimes restarting our device refreshes the storage space. If tht didn't work then plug your device into a computer and store your pictures & files on the computer, and that should free up space, now download CCleaner or clean master to free up more space.

Make sure you clear the cache like @chrisjluc said. It could take up loads of space if you don't clear that every once in awhile.
