Im Buying a phone and its a 3G phone. i asked him was 3G data slow and he wrote back the following:

" Download Speeds up to 5.67-7.2 Mbps
    Downward 2.8Mbps Uplink 384 KBPS "

I asked him was that considered slow and he replied with " This is a fast 3G"

Welcome to Android Central! Speeds will depend on your carrier. 3G can be very slow (like around 1 Mbps or less) or pretty fast (if it's HSPA+, which is technically still 3G but is often advertised as 4G--perhaps best called "pseudo-4G"--and can give download speeds of around 15 Mbps). A download speed of around 3 Mbps is ok, but again, it really depends on which carrier you plan on using.
