Why are the soft keys for mute / speaker / add call on top of the screen ?

So during a call suddenly the other person cannot hear you or you are on speaker because your ear accidentally touched the soft key. Hey Android, Verizon or whoever, you need to move the keys to the bottom of screen. Poor engineering. Huge "duh" factor.

Your screen should be off when you put it to your ear. Shouldn't have any issues with accidentally toggling stuff.

My speaker/mute/end buttons are all on the bottom of the screen though. Not sure how yours are on top
