How do I fix my screen brightness if it I cannot fix it with the adjust bar as always?

Last night the screen was fine. This morning its black. It seems as its still responsive to touch, everything is working, I just can't see what is going on. If I hold it just right in example sunlight, I am able to see a little bit. Seems like the brightness is on full setting.
