how do I get Touchwiz home to restart on my Galaxy Core Prime?

For a week now, when I turn on my phone, a message keeps coming up saying that Touchwiz home has stopped working. I can't use Messages (read or write) as well as other apps. I've restarted the phone as well as pulling out the battery and sim card. What do I need to do now?
