    Hi,
I was cleaning out the downloads in the My files folder on my note 4. I didn't realize that action memos store there and accidentally deleted them. I have tried some data recovery software, and all of them say to Root the phone. I have AT&T and at this time rooting is not an option. Have tried to plug the phone into the computer.....
I am hoping someone can help, I'm feeling very discouraged that the info is lost forever

Just an observation, if the files/data/images were located on the internal memory of your devices then the files/folders could be gone, Unless you backed up your system via Google drive etc. However and you say that you've explored your device via the computer.. did you also explore the microSD card?..

Welcome to Android Central! If it was only saved to your Internal Storage, then I'm afraid you're out of luck. Sorry!
