Note 7 lock doesn't work

I exchanged my Note 7 today after the recall. I spent hours updating the phone to my preference (getting rid of bloatware, installing apps, etc) but now I can't lock my phone at all. I set up the patter, pin, password, fingerprints, iris but still no lock shows. Anyone else have this problem or better yet, have a fix for it? Please help!
