Purchased ad free option and problems started

I purchased the remove ads option offered in setings today. After I did so, the mark all read check mark doesn't unbold things. It works on my Note 4, but not on my Samsung Tab 8.0. Further I still see ads, marked as such. I thought they were supposed to be gone? Also headers show on opening of AC app, but articles don't. I twice removed the app and reinstalled it to no avail. Again only affected my tablet. Help?
