how did my phone TEXT messages end up on daughters tablet?

I used a samsung galaxy young and discovered that my daughter who lives over 110 miles away was receiving my TEXT messages on her tablet.
i thought for starter that no text messages could be recieved unles device had a sim card, if not could someone please explain?

there's possibly some sort of integrated messaging that you have enabled and didn't realize. does that tablet have any of your accounts (google, samsung, etc) on it?
