How can I unlock my moto x play? Android 7

[Android Central Question]

It is mine.
I have entered the correct passwrd so many times.
I have tried with android device manager.
Bt there is no resetting option..
It is just ringing the phone ..
And it is showing erase option.
I dnt want to loose the Data....
Otherwise I would have restored it to factory settings....
N one more thing..
If i do enter erase option in android device manager
Do all the Data will be lost?
