Android Central Question

Hi. Would really appreciate help on this. My new factory sealed Samsung is apparently rooted and write enabled.(Tested by Samsung)
I am worried what may have been put on phone without my knowledge/permission and do not have enough expertise to recognise rogue folders/coding. I use online banking and internet shopping so am now changing all passwords and returning the phone, but wonder if my ueage has been mirrored/collected.
Q1. Should i do a factory reset and remove apps i have put on phone?
Q2. Will the SIM card also potentially be insecure in a new phone?
Thank you for any advice x

If it is indeed rooted, then chances are it's not a new phone. If you ordered a new one, then you should get in touch with whoever you bought it from and get it exchanged. You could try a factory reset and such on it, but honestly all bets are off when it comes to it being hacked if it's already rooted. Not to mention rooting can void your warranty.
