Why is my device on another language and not english

I need to know how to reset my device back on english

Welcome to Android Central! Which device? Swipe down the notification panel, tap the gear icon, then scroll down to the Language & Input section -- on many devices, you can identify it by the "A" icon associated with it. Then select the first item (which will be System Language), and then select English.
