No Voicemail

[Android Central Question]

My wife and i have a Galaxy s 5 with Straight Talk.
All of sudden I cannot get to voice mail.
When I dial * 86 all I get is air...no sound....nothing.
And when I call my phone and try to leave a voice mail it's the same.....air...nothing .
We are on Verizon towers I presume.
Any ideas??

What happens when you press and hold the 1 key on the phone's dialpad?

Have you contacted Straight Talk to determine whether the problem is on their end?
