I've recently tried to set up wireless printing but running into a problem.
The printer is connected to the router via wps and I've verified the settings by printing a network configuration page.
I've installed the Canon Print Service on my phone which detects and shows the correct printer.
When I print something from my phone I get the same error every time - Printer Error, The current settings are not supported by your printer.
I've tried printing from various apps including Gmail, built in photo album, WhatsApp, chrome, Google keep and they all produce the same error.
I don't know what settings it is referring too as I haven't changed much other than paper size to a4.
I've tried the same on a different phone but get the same problem.
Any ideas?

Phone: Sony Xperia XA2/XZ1 (Oreo)
