WIFI network 5G missing in Android settings.

Hi.

Quick question not sure if this is a network or Android issue.

I have a Asus Rt-Ac66u B1 router with a duel band WIFI network 2.4G and 5G.

When I connect to wifi with Android OnePlusOne Phone I can see/connect to both wifi networks.

Using the Android ZTE 955A phone I can only see and connect to the 2.4G. The 5G network is missing from the wifi settings. The ZTE is v5.1. Both Android phones are about 6ft from Router,

Tried refresh w/o success, Added 5G network with passcode. Credentials went into saved network stating “not in range”.

Anybody else have this peculiar issue.

Never would have figured it would be phone does not duel bands.

Yeah, that's one of the ways a company will cut costs for a budget phone.
