How to remove government lock from my android phone it in safe mode now

My nephew had my phone,looking at porn sites,and acquired the government lock,now it's in safe mode only,how do I remove this

I've never heard of the government locking the phone (maybe some of the more restrictive countries have that ability?). A simple reboot should get it out of safe mode.

I'm wondering if that "government lock" is some sort of ransomware made to look like an official lock. If you can, please join the site so you can reply to this thread and give us some more details. It would be especially helpful to know which device, carrier, country location, and if you could take a photo of the lock notice and upload it here.

Welcome to the forums. Have you already tried rebooting the phone (power off & on) as Mooncatt commented? Also, you could clear data for the browser he used to access those sites, reboot again and see if the problem persists.

And if it does persist, report it to the relevant authorities in your country.

Scammers sometimes impersonate the FBI in order to defraud you of money. If yours says FBI, it's definitely not FBI. For example: https://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/ransomware-abettor-sentenced-120618

Other government bodies are also impersonated.
