Phone glitch? Power on no battery no power with battery

[Android Central Question]

Phone wont turn on with the charger plugged in and the battery in but i take the battery out and leave in the charger plugged in it only pops up the android logo and keeps turning off and of no further than the android logo

Welcome to Android Central! Devices typically need the battery to be able to hold a charge to work. I don't think there are any modern devices that will work directly from the charger, with no valid battery inserted. Try replacing your battery.
