I'm having trouble getting the wifi portal to popup on my samsung devices.

When connecting to wifi (public) it says Internet May not be Available.

I've been told we need the captive portal to pop up in order to 'keep connection' however I have allowed popups in chrome and internet browser settings and the issue still stands.

I can go via login.com however the connection drops.

Is there a way to prevent wifi login pages from being suppressed?

My device needs to remain in airplane mode also, not sure if this might affect it.

Welcome to Android Central! First, go to Settings>App, tap Menu>Show System, and make sure CaptivePortalLogin hasn't been disabled.

Does this only happen on certain public wi-fi networks? Does it happen on more than one device, or only this one?

1. Open a tab and go to any site - you should get redirected to the login portal page.

2. Airplane mode disables WiFi (and all other radios), so you can't get anything in airplane mode.
