[Android Central Question]

I have an LG Stylo 4. Whenever I try to unlock my phone with my pattern, it goes black. I've been getting texts that my phone needs to update to the latest software but when I try to update it, it said it's up to date. When I go to settings to change my lock screen settings, it asks for my pattern. After I input my pattern, it said that lock screen settings have stopped. Help! TIA.
