Special ringtone will not work

[Android Central Question]

I put as ringtone,
but somehow disappeared. Now have checked all I know but ringtone will not take over as main ringtone on all incoming calls. I have an LG6. Thanks for help.

You download a ringtone and it's not staying?

1. The ringtone should be an .mp3 file.

2. The ringtone should be in a folder named Ringtones (case counts - not ringtones, Ringtones).

Downloaded files, as a rule, go to the Downloads folder, and disappear after a while.
