Android Central Question

so today I went to plug my Samsung J7 2018 in. it's been having a lot of charging problems lately too, such as it going down when plugged in. But today when I plugged it in, the battery went down rapidly (which usually only happens to me when its not plugged in and it's at 10%.) from 34% to 0% in less than a minute. i don't know if the battery is completely dead or something cause ive only had the phone for around a year.

it's at 10%.
That's the problem right there. NEVER allow a lithium battery to drop below 40%. Charge when it drops down to 50%, 45% at the lowest. At 40%, if you aren't charging it, turn the phone off!

Now you need a new battery.

@kernalOS, that's a dendrite. All it needed was a new battery. (Unfortunately, dendrites aren't covered under warranty, even if the phone is new - but most sellers will replace the phone if the complaint is "intermittent battery".)
