Qr scanner not working

Qr scanner will not work on S8. No 3 dots at top right corner of Samsung internet. Scanner is enabled. Tried following all instructions, I open internet, tap qr scanner, goes to camera but does not scan. Had an expert look at it and still can't figure it out. Probably missed something, but what?
