Power widget turns screen off leaving no way to control tablet.
I have an AllWinner tablet with KitKat 4.4.2 It had a "power widget" installed that conveniently turned WiFi and Bluetooth on or off and controlled display brightness. I touched the brightness control and it set brightness to zero leaning me no way to control the tablet. Totally black screen. Even restart didn't help. Would go through startup screens then go black. Fortunately I had installed a program from my phone that allows you to view the screen on my PC. I was able to use that to view screen while I tapped on tab's blank screen to go through the menus to turn it back on. Is this normal? Is there a better way to fix the problem? My unit only has a "home" and a "power" switch with no other external controls.
