Why can't I use my data?

I have an HTC One m7 with android 4.4.3, on Verizon's 4G LTE network. Sometimes, it will not pick up 4G LTE or even 4G. The bar just shows 3G, and it doesn't even work. I don't get any internet. I can't receive MMS messages either, because they are only downloaded on Data, whether you are connected to Wi-Fi or not. I didn't change any settings ever, so it wouldn't be the APN (there is only one option for APN anyways). I am paying for a data plan, and I have not surpassed the limit. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. There is no rhyme or reason as to when the mobile data network ceases to function.

What is happenning??

Welcome to Android Central! Have you spoken to Verizon about this? Perhaps they may give you a replacement SIM card.

It sounds like a bad SIM or a bad phone. Do you know anyone else on Verizon? Do they have problems in the same spots?

Check under setting/data usage and make sure limit mobile data is not checked.
