Hi Guys,

Out of curiosity, which will phone will perform better in real world situations/usage (exclude heavy graphics gaming)

Phone with 64 Bit Processor (2G RAM) vs Phone with 32 Bit Processor (3G RAM)

all other aspects / factors are the same ...

Assuming an app that needs 2+GB of RAM to run in, the 32 bit processor. Otherwise, the 64 bit processor, given the exact same architecture and clock speed and multiplier, will perform a bit faster.

Which would I prefer? To future-proof the phone, a fast 64 bit octacore with about 8GB of RAM (and dedicated, not shared, video RAM). And at least 128GB of internal storage and 128GB of SD card slot. That should last at least 5 years. Make it a world phone (all frequencies), field-replaceable 4 or 5 Amp battery and an unlocked bootloader and I'll buy it. (I'd prefer that it be a Samsung, for the S-Pen, but if Google had Samsung make them one, that's okay too.) Oh, and it has to be rootable and ROMable without voiding the warranty, and there has to be an Otterbox Defender for it.

(And PM me and I'll let you know where to send the million dollar check, while I'm still dreaming.)
