Help! I screwed up and have no operating system!

I bought a rooted phone to replace my husbands broken phone (again) and accidentally deleted the operating system! Its totally stuck in what I think is safe mode.. Not sure. Is there anyway to save this??? Its an LG Revolution..

Safe Mode is the normal screen, but with none of the installed apps running.

No operating system will normally bring you to the recovery screen.

What you do depends on which situation you're in.

(About the opnly way to delete the operating system is with a terminal app or by connecting the phone to a computer and running adb.)
