I cannot setup my gmail account on my phone again?

My gmail and google playstore stopped working and my gmail said it could not log in. I read that I should delete my email account on the phone and set it up again. I deleted it but now my phone does not want to set it up. it was my Backup gmail account that i set up when i got the phone and I don't know what to do. When i click on add google account in settings it just takes me back to the settings page.

Hi, have you tried performing a factory reset on the device and setting it up as if it's brand new? if you do make sure you back your data up so you don't loose it.
