How to change date & time on device

What device? The one of the kind: Enspert's Identity Cron.

Basically the date and time is unconfigurable because the option to have automatic date and time is grayed out as in it's enabled but its just sitting as 1970/01/01 12:45 AM

running android 2.2

Well all phones has setting to adjust the time, but as we know
in latest phones from -Android:OS- The time set is updated
by the networks like to change "Daylight saving time"

but in this case the error is due To an outdated
OS-2.2 : Tell us what kind of phone is that-1

That's only 45 minutes after Unix time 0 (0 is 1970/01/01 00:00). If it's on automatic, it should be getting the time and date from the tower. If it's not connected to a tower, change it to manual and enter the correct time and date.
