My friend has a Galaxy 8. She clicked on an ad (ahhh!!) and downloaded some cute locking emoji. This has changed her home screen/wallpaper and she's unable to get rid of the display.

If she didn't have the option to install from unknown sources turned on, then that would've had to install from the Play store. So you can go there or to the application manager in her phone's settings to uninstall it. If that's not working, it may have been given administration privileges and she will need to turn that off first (likely in her security settings).

If that isn't working, ask her what the app's name is, the exact name, and we might be able to offer more directed advice.
