Tablet with near pure Android

Yesterday I ordered an LG G Tab 8.3 but cancelled the order after a few hours due to finding out the one I ordered had the LG overlay.
In the UK you cannot get the G Tab 8.3 as a Google Play Edition unfortunately so I was wondering if you could assist me in finding the perfect tablet for myself. It could be an up and coming release also or slightly older.

Ideally I want Android 4.4 (Pure and hopefully will upgrade to 5.0 soon after release)
An SD card slot for loading up movies for travelling.
Half decent battery life
Good specs in general.

I currently own a Nexus 5 and also a Hisense Sero 7 Pro but find the Sero 7 pro screen a little too small which is why I opted for the 8.3" screen.

Any thoughts?

The nVidia Shield might be for you, but I don't know if it's available in UK.

If you don't mind spend a bit of money you can get the HTC Nexus 9 once it become available.

My thought on the Nexus 9 vs Shield.

Hi! Thank you for the reply. That NVidia shield looks amazing. I'm going to look into it more! It is available in the UK so will go do some research now. It is looking likely this may be the tablet for me though!!
