The latest YouTube official app let you listen to audio screen off

All you need to have is headphones with remote (like Apple's EarPods)

1. Open Youtube and put your video
2. Let the video start (important)
3. Lock your phone or go the homepage or whatever but leave the YouTube app
4. Click on your remote like you want to put the music on (or off) [Max 5 sec after]
5. Enjoy!

Not working on my Xperia Z rooted.whenever I try to minimize the youtube app it pauses the video.
What is the proper way?
