I finally download the Nexus 5 4.4.1 update and side loaded it, got tired of waiting for for Google to get the stage that my phone would be I for the update, I must say the camera is much better and so is the sound from the speaker

Depending on your phone's current state (rooted/unrooted, stock/custom, mods etc), the steps may vary.
Check this thread out for a full solution - first 2 posts cover pretty much all scenarios.

Yeah I am it rooted to no extra steps or anything, I ways run stock on my nexus 5

any of you get this to work? My PC shows no driver for Nexus 5. I googled, found a driver in the SDK but it says Samsung driver.

I installed it anyway. When I flash, it goes to the point I have to sideload it, but I get the error that no device is recognized.
