Nexus 6 No notifications, home an apps button not working

[Android Central Question]

After turning my phone on after a crash i noticed that my home and apps button don't work and none of my notifications appear. I can't even pull down my menu. I've seen a few other posts around the internet, the Safe Mode and wiping the cache partition fix don't work and I've tried the Nova Launcher fix but i get to the Setup Wizard part and when i open that i just get "Connecting..." The only options i see left are a factory reset. What other options do i have?
