... rooted my Nexus 7 tablet running KitKat 4.4.1(.3 ?)... when checking tablet root status, get '... device rooted, but need SU Binary...' all seemed OK so I didn't bother.... got new (11/18/2014) notification on tablet that Android 5.0 Lollipop available.... I downloaded & installed w/o any problem.... however, still have '... rooted, but need binary ..' message when checking root status.. (but now see Android 5.0 in ABOUT TABLET, + am now using new features & displays) .... should I re-root to try to delete 'binary' message?? am I ok as-is?? help! tx

Note: I tried to 're-root' using NRT 1.9.8 step 1, as if it was a NEW root task... Tablet SETTINGS show: ...'valid root access' but no SU BINARY (as before) ... NEW OS: 5.0... Build: LRX21P... also, NRT Install step 1 shows ADB can't install, & PC doesn't detect N7 tablet for 'backup function'.... really need solid HELP!!! Tx

I re rooted by flashing the latest super su zip 2.35 in twrp. Very easy, if you have a custom recovery I highly recommend it.

Lolli 😉
