Google Now >
"I need shirts"
Google: "Sending note to self - I need shirts"
(sends to gmail with subject line: Note to Self")

"I have a doctors appt tomorrow at 6pm"
Google: "Setting alarm for tomorrow at 6pm"

I am still messing with the voice to tasks, schedules, alarms and calendars.
Please post up if you have any more commands that work well.

Thanks.

This isn't a tip, but maybe it can turn out to be one:

First, what does Google call it's version of Siri, Voice assistant? Anyway, has anyone figured out a way to schedule a future appointment or reminder? I'll say "Remind me tomorrow to..." and it comes back with not able to schedule by date. Maybe I'm just speaking it wrong?

I have not tried this yet, but I saw them elsewhere:

Alarms and Calendar:
Remind me to ______ in (time).
Wake me up tomorrow at 6am
Set alarm for (time a.m. / p.m.), (label appointment) ______.

P.S. it is called "Google Now"

Download the ultimate rotation app from the playstore, you will then be able to enable the home screen to go into landscape mode, without your nexus 7 having to be rooted

Any non-stock launcher allows this without root.

Download Speaktoit Assistant from the Play Store. It has more voice commands, including the ability to set appointments. It also lets you change computer voices.

I think a sticky topic with a summary listing of voice commands would be a great idea.... Mods?

On the thread about magazines being data hogs they talked about disabling the magazine app especially when tethered to a cell phone to reduced the amount of data it uses, even when the app isnt active.

Hi ... Is this app installed by default ? Because I don't see it from your directory on my tablet
