Nearly an hour later and the install is still not done. Like how long does it take for 27Mb update? lol Mine was 27.08MB

Yes, apparently my device was not optimized at all before lol

And, it's done. Took just over an hour until phone reboot. Now the waiting game to see how the battery is the next few days.

Just got the update Patch fix. Let's see if this will fix the battery issue that we are all having.

I feel like this is a good sign. Before the update this would only show around 12 hours at this point.

On the beta my battery life was the best ever with up to 2 days life. Now since the stable version it drains like water. Can barely get 16 hours with minimal use. Am a bit annoyed by it.

The recent update should take care of this.

So I *think* this is mostly fixed now with the Sept update. It's 3:30pm and I'm still at 85% with my normal usage today. Before the Sept update I'd be down to like 60% or less right now, so I think the idle drain is gone.

Boy is that good to hear! I really didn't want to set our new pixels up with a bad battery drain right out of the box :-\

Haven't been actively monitoring since the update, but the phone and battery does feel better.
