On the Android KitKat, how can I move apps to the SD drive?

Android kitkat. How can I move apps to the SD drive.

When trying to download additional apps I get an out of memory message. I've tried to move the apps to the SD drive but most of them have that option greyed out. Is there any way of moving my current apps to the SD drive ?

Welcome to Android Central! If the app doesn't give you the option, then you'd have to root the device and use an app like AppMgr III.
