Im probably the only person left running launch day stock 2.1...

i have not accepted a single update and im still running the launch day 2.1


i have been perfectly happy with the phone so far, i have been using the first unrevoked to run wireless tether when i needed it.

but now im bored and ready to root and try out some different roms



anyways, what is going to be the best way for me to root now?

I am not afraid to use cmd, as i have rooted my wifes hero, so i kind of know what im doing

but i would still like to have a tutorial to follow.

Ooo super simple, go to the root sticky, and since your already on 2.1 just download and run simple root, then your going to want to flash a 2.2 rom. Trust me..

the simple root says its the OTA edition, if i have not accepting a single OTA will it cause a problem?

I don't think so. But if you're worried about that then do toasts method, or head over to xda and find the ota in manual update non rooted form.
