Uhmm this might be stupid , but then still . After the limited cycles of the HTC one battery , are we supposed to dump it ?

Not stupid; pretty much. But supposedly, you're not supposed to notice any significant decrease in battery function until you've gone through around 500-600 charge cycles. So your phone will be about 2 years old before the time between charges starts to decrease. By that time, you'll probably be itching to get the next great phone. So just recycle the old one properly!
