Every time I try to download or update an app, it keeps telling me "insufficient storage available" WTF is this???? I have enough memory to download it, but my phone won't let me. Why is this happening?

For some reason the phone doesn't allow you to move apps from internal storage to phone storage. That surprised me as my older HTC Vivid allows me to do that.

I believe I've been having the same problem. I've tried the "make more space" option to remove apps, but when I go to uninstall them it says a lot of different numbers. First is the 3.59GB/3.85GB that is under the "App Storage". Next after pressing the "Make more space" option I have 866.15MB / 1.11GB under the Applications tab. When I hit "Uninstall apps" I see "Application (267 / 1133MB). There are obvious holes that I can't edit/uninstall to make more room. Also, under "Phone storage" I have plenty of room, almost 4GB of free space, but even if i were to move what apps I have, there's almost 3GB of space unaccounted for. Is that all bloatware?
I've been scouring forums and such to try to figure it out. I've also tried to root my phone, but the HTC One VX isn't supported by CM10. Any recommendations?

Same for me. I bought my mother the very same phone (HTC One VX) so I could talk her through any problems she inevitably had. She has triple the apps on her phone and STILL has close to 3 GB left on phone storage.
What am I doing wrong? I run very few downloaded apps (less than 5) and have most of the other bloatware apps disabled. I can't seem to get that storage space back. Even did a factory reset but didn't help. Attached are my storage screen shots. Would rooting help? Once rooted, what can i get rid of without causing problems?
