better SMS/MMS for android?

The way group messaging is handled on android is kinda pathetic.

Is there a better app that handles SMS/MMS better? I hate how when i receive group messages, it is sent to me as a MMS. and if i send out a group message, it goes as a MMS also.

Is there an app that handles texting more like how apple does their messaging?

im currently using go sms pro. handcent sms kinda sucked. and the stock messaging sucks too.

I believe group messaging is configured as MMS. I've checked my hubby's iPhone when I was testing group MMS on Go SMS and it's sent and received as group MMS. I would never go back to native text messaging after using Go SMS.

I have used chomp for quite a while but I don't do much group messaging.

Personal preference...
