I've received my shiny new HTC One X two days ago and while running through the setup procedure I also noticed the possibility to signup for an HTC account.

However after having looked at htcsense.com I noticed that HTC is no longer offering these kind of features, so my question is: Is this something totally different, which additional features do I receive for signing up and what is your experience?

Btw. I came from a Nexus S and had backup enabled there, however when moving on to the One X I only had my gmail, google calendar and contacts synced, however no WIFI settings or other email accounts?! Shouldn't this also be backuped by google?

You have to put in contacts into your google account manually to save and backup.

And I've never used HTC sync. It syncs some things but not all. Useless IMO
