Lock my phone

I'm trying to set up the password feature and I can't get my phone to lock. I went to settings and then to set with pin put in the pin and then went out of phone completely and then turned phone back on and all I had to do was pull the ring and boom I'm back in the phone. That would be easy for someone if they got my phone to look at all my info. Does face recognition work? It didn't for me. I want to secure my phone with a password pin. How do u do that?

that should just be under the lockscreen portion of the settings menu. if you change it to the pin code, the swipe should not come up.

Settings>Security>Lock Phone After

Change the setting to "Immediately"
